About Ren

I’ve spent the last decade living in Seoul, and the only thing I know for certain is uncertainty. My work explores identity, memory, loneliness, compassion, queerness, transformation, and a healthy amount of armchair psychology. I’m drawn to contradictions: things that are beautiful but unsettling, cute things with nefarious intentions, and the ways the nonhuman can reveal something profoundly human. I move between worlds and mediums in search of “purpose” and “identity,” though I secretly hope I never quite find either.
